This Privacy Policy describes how Screen Recorder Neo ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
2.1 Screen Recordings
The app records your device screen at your request. All recordings are stored locally on your device in the Movies/ScreenRecorder/ directory. We do not access, collect, or transmit your recordings to any server.
2.2 Audio Data
When you choose to record with microphone or internal audio, the app captures audio solely for the purpose of including it in your screen recording. Audio data is stored locally as part of the recording file and is not transmitted elsewhere.
2.3 Advertising Data
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, usage data, and other information as described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
2.4 Analytics Data
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage data and crash reports. This helps us improve app stability and user experience. No personally identifiable information is collected through these services.
The app requests the following permissions, each used solely for its stated purpose:
- Screen Capture (MediaProjection): To record your device screen.
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): To record audio from the microphone when you select this option. Only used when you explicitly choose microphone recording.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): To display recording status notifications.
- Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): To show a countdown overlay before recording starts. This is optional and can be disabled in settings.
- Media Access (READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): To display and manage your saved recordings within the app.
- Internet (INTERNET): Required for displaying advertisements (AdMob) and sending anonymous analytics and crash reports (Firebase).
- Foreground Service: To maintain the recording process while the app is in the background.
- All recordings are stored locally on your device.
- Recordings remain on your device until you manually delete them or they are auto-deleted from the trash after 30 days.
- We do not maintain any external database of your data.
You can share recordings with other apps using your device's built-in sharing functionality. We do not control how third-party apps handle shared data.
The app integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements.
- Firebase Analytics: For anonymous usage analytics.
- Firebase Crashlytics: For crash reporting and app stability monitoring.
